Hi
I have setup many feeds for Real Estate agent including my self. I have 3 feeds from 3 different boards all going into 1 DB and all the images stored on an Amazon s3 server ( current 400,000 rows and avg 20 photos per row 8,000,000 photos). The mane parts are listed here:
1) Make sure you have user name and password along with server url
2) Determine what info you need from the rets sever ie you may only need some of the info
3) Determine DB layout and setup & if you need to download all photos or if mls lets you link to them.
4) Once you get all the data & photos you need a way to update just the rows and photos that have changed from last download.
5) Setup on cron job to run every 1hr
6) You may want a Geo Coding script to run every 1hr to get geo info from google if mls does not give this in their info to you.
Please do a chat so i can find out more info. The thing that takes the most time is pulling the data from the rets server. And setting up the scripts needed to pull the info in away that does not over load the rets server, My first 2 feeds i shut down their server as it took a lot to get all the photos (had not did it in small batches)
