I would be a strong candidate to consider for this project. I have coded in Foxpro since is was actually FoxBase+ back in 1987 before Microsoft bought it out. I still currently develop with Visual Foxpro 9 today. I think your overall estimate for the project might be low, but I'll work with that. Althought never used SayWhat, I used another program Genifer (code generator). I have been self-employed for over 10 years as a consultant specializing in VFP developed applications and am completely confident in upgrading your system. I have done a few other FPD and FPW applications from my consulting time. Doing a functional conversion itself should be relatively easy to accomplish vs a true upgrade to VFP depending on what the underlying code has. I would suspect it is mostly SEEK, FIND, REPLACE commands vs SQL oriented. Anyhow, the work I do is only payable in full at the end after full work completed, and I would deliver partials to show progress if that helps the comfort factor of the conversion. I do this sort of project for primary purpose of helping those in outdated technology and cautious about upgrading something stable from the past. I can answer and even offer a more accurate assessment if you would be willing to share source code. However, you did provide some of the best details in the job posting than many out here. I have over 15 years experience in software development, over 10 years in foxpro and visual foxpro. The system will be converted to VFP9.
