1. I have an Autel MaxiSYS MS908P Programming Tool. 2. I need to simulate a car and to program some of the options through the tool. 3. Then I need to export the programmed settings to OBD2. 4. Then the OBD2 can be send to a third party, so they can import the codding into their car. PLease provide solution for: 1. simulating a car 2. exporting the settings to OBD2. * I see the steps as follow: This can be done by writing a simple algorithm, that will manipulate the MaxiSys port. Then import the algorithm into a hardware box (we will call this box "simulator"). The connection between the simulator and the MaxiSys will be using the USB serial cable, as the simulator will have USB serial port for connection between it self and the MaxiSys tool. When MaxiSys is connected to a car with the USB serial cable, we have 2 options of starting to program: (1) automated detection of the car or (2) manual insertion of the car info. With the simulator that we will create, we will be using the option for "manual" insertion. Then we can follow the programming MaxiSys menu. When programming is completed, we will need to save the data on the OBD2 over the simulator. That means the simulator must have two plugs: (1) one for the USB serial cable to the MaxiSys (2) one USB port for connecting the OBD2 with option to save.

Hi there! My name is Orestes and I am a Software Engineer with specialty in Java/Spring. I represent a team of Software Engineers (so our 'technology' stack is actually quite big: Java, C#, Javascript, Python among others) that have undertaken too many projects (mainly Web Applications, Web Services, RESTful APIs etc) so I can guarantee that you (and your project) are in safe hands with us! :) I would like to state that even though your description has given us a basic idea for the project, there are still a lot to discuss so we can clarify the details of the project. That is why the price of the bid is yet to be discussed and we can decide on a fair price for you and for us! Feel free to get in touch! Orestes

Dear customer, Your approach for the device in scope of this project is an interesting idea, though the OBD2 protocol does not support this "save" of the stream because there is a handshake to confirm the sent values is acknowledged by the vehicle. As you described ""simulate vehicle" and to comply with OBD2 protocol means literally to reverse engineer the entire ECUs software that you intend to program. And we also need to remind nowadays vehicles are equipped with tens of ECUs. Yes sending an stream of data not parsed via USB is a simple task, but the "vehicle emulation" is not just sending the identification model&VIN. More than that, most of the code will be embedded, so it doesn't really matter what language will be used in the compiler, because the final code to be written in HW will be hex. The final result can be achieved, but for sure not by the people who placed the bids by now- please just evaluate their proposals descriptions and you will conclude by yourself. I propose to you different approach, that may be solution to your problem, but we need to discuss before starting the project together. My technical advice to you will be entirely free, but in this way you will know better what options you have for your needed device.
