Interactive Brokers API part for my system (C++)

Hello, I’m looking for someone to build the Interactive Brokers API portion/module for integration in my current trading system. It should act like a broker terminal to place order, check out best available options , track positions, get realtime data, etc. Currently I have another programmer working on the signal generating part of the system, so in order to save time I’m looking for an extra programmer who will deal with the “after signal” part. We already started at the IB API at some point, so there’s actually something we can provide in case you want to complete that part. But it seems best to me if you provide your own full part, which preferably has already been used by many other customers of you (successfully). First off, you have to: 1. Be reliable, trustworthy and discrete. 2. Have experience with Interactive Brokers API 3. Be a clean and smart coder (object oriented) 4. Be hard (and smart) working. No slacking or “easy money attitude” 5. Speak English fluently 6. Be available, and on time. Meaning you respect deadlines and you show up on time :-). Deadline The deadline for this part is 29th of February. If you finish it by 1th of March I will not pay you and look for a whole new programmer. Nothing personal but I’m on a deadline myself too. If you finish it above expectations though (faster and better than expected), I’m also human enough to pay a small bonus :-). Like stated earlier, I prefer someone who has built IB API systems before and gets it done in a few days. More information: - We are using this version: C++ (POSIX-compliant) - The system has to accept buy and sell orders, both for stocks and for options and send them in a proper format to IB . Basically i want the system to initiate a position, place a correct stop limit , and place a target order. All this orders values will be send from the trading system. - The system has to provide information about: Current price (Latest, Bid, Ask) Volume Historical price data Available options (option chain for symbols like SPY) Current positions (so that the other system knows how much shares/options to sell in the first place, when an order only gets partially filled/bought for example) - It should be capable of handling multiple instruments - It should have reasonable real time performance This IB module that you will build should be fairly easy and straightforward to integrate with my current C++ trading system. It should act like an interface, accepting requests from the trading system sending the requests to IB, accept incoming requests from IB, and send a clear response back to the trading system. Other than that I obviously don’t want: - Double orders - Faulty position tracking. If a stock is getting bought but it only gets filled partially, then I don’t want a full size selling order later on. Again you have to interface it properly so it can be integrated easily with the other part of this system. Vital project information, summarized - Deadline: 29th of February - There is a very clear budget for this part. I will not pay more than this, because otherwise my other programmer can just finish what he already started on at some point, which will cost me even less than this budget. The goal here is to win some time for me. Small sidenote: I personally tried working with programmers from India before. They were often not on time, too slow, not dedicated enough, or just incapable. I'm not racist by any means but wherever you come from, this is not an easy money opportunity. This is a good opportunity, money-wise but also for personal growth. But if you do happen to be from India, feel free to convince me why you're different from the programmers I've worked with so far.
