Front end developer

About us We are a tech start-up (based in UK and India), who develops embedded IoT sensors along with an analytics front end for electricity grids. We are looking for an innovative and passionate frontend developer to join our software team and help us scale rapidly. Job Profile • Candidate will work alongside an international team in building and deploying a stable, market ready analytics frontend • Develop automated build, test and deployment processes • Decompose legacy services into modern microservices using most appropriate language for each application • Containerisation of services • Interface frontend services with metrics and log aggregation service • Assist with cloud and on-prem deployments • Write documentation for existing and newly developed services • Participate in code reviews with colleagues • Make daily code pushes to version control system and attend sprint meetings Our Tech Stack • Our frontend services are currently written in React.js and use REST APIs • Our current backend services use C#, Python, C++, MySQL and PostgreSQL Our Company Culture • We embrace Agile development with bi-weekly sprints • Most of our staff work remotely • We are a partner in Microsoft’s AI for Good programme • We regularly review latest technologies and pitch these internally • We write case studies on our successful projects and present at industry conferences • Our technology has been deployed in Asia, Europe and Africa Candidate Skills 
 • Significant experience with JavaScript web frameworks and libraries (React desired) • Mobile app development experience • You believe in better design through data and have experience implementing and working with charting libraries such as d3.js, highcharts • Demonstrable cloud or on-prem deployments of your work • Experience of writing documentation and test suites for your work • A firm believer in iterative Agile development, and avoiding reinventing the wheel • Comfortable reviewing, learning, pitching and using new technologies • You are excited about the possibilities of combining hardware and software to create innovating and exciting products that will help improve people’s lives
