We're looking for a bright, dynamic coder to complete the rewrite of our current speed reading software. The existing version was written in visual basic years ago, and as technology has improved we'd like to incorporate some additional features. Most of the heavy lifting has been done. It's a well designed piece of software, and all of the VB code is available. The existing partial rewrite is done in Python (2.7) with Qt (PyQt 4), and we wish to continue with this code. By approximation, 35-45% of the code has been rewritten, possibly even more taking into account the re-usability of some of the existing python code. The app will need to be written with the consideration that it is to run on Windows and Mac OS, along with an intended port to Android and iOS. Linux should also be able to run the application. Our software has been highly rated, won awards, and is in use all over the world. This is a great opportunity to add to your portfolio.
