OBDII RASPBERRY PI

Hey there, I am a Electrical Engineering Technologist. I've worked extensively with microcontroller programming. I have experience programming pic chips and attaching necessary hardware including LCD displays. The raspberry pi is basically a lego block for my experience and I have used my personal rpi extensively for many projects around the house including a personal webserver, kodi entertainment media center, kali-linux offensive network hacking, and various gpio hardware controllable interface modules. Hi I'm an electronic engineer with more than 5 years of experience in raspberry pi related embedded systems development. I have read through your project description and it seems that this project is familiar to me, as I have done similar projects before. As per your OBD breakout board, we can connect it with rpi using the uart interface. Since you have 7 inch display, I can create a custom OS image which will run an application from start, which will read data from OBD module and display on the screen. I have done these type of projects several times, so I have good experience in such projects. I usually develop apps using java, for raspberry pi, that enables to develop good looking GUIs. Also I can make tweaks for the OSimage as well, so you will not see much of the OS text while starting up. I'm confident on completing the project successfully and looking forward to hear from you.
