Magento - Display 'Quantity Remaining' when a user orders more stock than is available

Hi We need someone to imlement this functionality, where if a user tries to order more stock than is available, it displays a message saying 'Sorry there is only 'X' items left in stock' on. The main complexity is the website for some products has 3 dropdown options, each product has 3 options when selecting a product, so the quantity isn't known until exactly until the final dropdown is selected, for e.g if the user selects, 'Blue' then the next dropdown they select 'Width' then the final dropdown they selet the 'Roll Legnth' of the ribbon, it's not until they select that then the stock quantity is know. Also to note the website is connected to a third party tool called Zynk where it automatically updates stock from Zynk however the quantity is still in Magento correctly, I just wanted to make sure you're aware of this ([login to view URL]). I've attached a screenshot of how it currently displays, where it says 'Only 47 left....' currently it is combining the full total stock of one product left, then when you click the dropdown it displays each individual quantity which is confusing. We want it so it only displays 'Sorry, we only have 'X' items remaining' once the user has selected all options and tried to add to basket.
