Magento Custom Work

To duplicate issue: In a nutshell, we have a custom photo upload and configuration module tied into magento which also will use a custom pricing engine through an API Essentially we are moving to use custom options with a product and instead of a new product for every configuration which has become a nightmare since we are adding new options and many custom sizes. We have made significant progress on this and need to complete it. One issue we have is with product name. We get a product name from the API which gets overwritten by Magento product name. Here are notes from my developer on that issue and it will make far more sense if I walk you through it on our website. There is a problem when updating the product when add to cart. Based on the parameters that we send it to the api we get price and product name. Then we update the cart item with the price and the name. The price is updated ok, the name is updated also but when refresh the cart we see it get back to the original name again. I can demo the issue for qualified applicants.
