Looking at having an App developed to help alongside a web project we currently have going. As a designer and front end developer I am working on building the web project through Wordpress.
Ideally we would like to have the native apps pull the necessary data from our current Wordpress development as well as the ability for users to download the app and to save data on specific posts for each user. Unsure of if this will need a log in or not?
The website is a local community site which offers coupons from local businesses to promote their business and gain more engagement from the community. These are currently listed on the website using custom post types in Wordpress.
We would like the users to be able to able to view these coupons (custom post) in the app and once they have redeemed the coupon the business simple taps the coupon on the app and it marks it as 'used'. Some how this has to connect in to the web side of the project where the coupon (custom post) data shows the coupon as used for that specific user. Again, unsure if this would need a user account. I assume it would for a web application but not sure how this works for native apps.
Would love to talk to an app developer about if this is even possible. Data wise, it isn't a very content heavy application.
All designs will be provided by myself but we will need help in terms of working out what pages need to be designed for the app.
We also need to know how to go about submitting the app to the iOS and Android app stores, how to maintain the apps and also how to set up push notifications.
Please write 'GippsCo' in your bid submission so we know you read this. Please also don't bid outrageous prices just because you can, we are looking for an honest developer to let us know if this project is even possible and a respectable estimate on project/time.
