We are looking to develop a service that will allow animal shelters to utilize a custom WordPress install to manage their shelters. We are basing the functionality of this application on a database system that is currently being used by a shelter. The overview of this application is as follows: - Record details of each animal that enters the shelter - Record details of people who bring animals in / adopt / etc - Maintain clinic clinic and medical records for each animal - Able to record payment information and print invoices for records (credit card processing not currently necessary) - Generate printable cards based on animal profiles (Cage Cards, Bio Cards, Treatment Logs, etc) - Separate interfaces for clinic staff and shelter staff - Ability to push animal data from application to live WordPress website to keep adoptive records up-to-date in real time - Ability to receive adoption applications submitted through live WordPress website. SECONDARY FUNCTIONALITY - Office communication tool, with user groups, Twilio messaging, and website push notifications - Volunteer scheduling functionality - Integration with Google Calendar with auto-population based on clinic records (treatment plans for active shelter animals, etc) I have attached images from the FileMaker application that the focus shelter is currently using to manage their operations. We will want to use this as guidance for the functionality of this new application. I would like to leverage as many open source resources as possible with this project, as the goal is to reduce expenses for the shelters over time. I do have resources in mind for some of the components, and I'm happy to discuss those with you. I would be happy to discuss the finer details of this project with an interested developer or team.
