Medium Sized Joola Challenge

My aim is to provide small businesses with their own Joomla Website. They must be able to choose from a variety of Joomla Templates that I have pre-selected with you the developer. Please see detail further. ## Deliverables Joomla Development Introduction It is very difficult for small accounting firms or small lawyer firms, or insurance firms to have a nice website or to keep their websites up to date with current content. It is however important that they give a good impression on their website so that existing or new potential clients see that they are “up to date?? with current events. I have content writers that need to input New Articles into a database (to be designed). These writers write content for me in the areas of business that they are good at. I will be paying individual content writers money every week to write news articles in their own specialized field. Example: • TAX experts will write news articles on tax; Legal experts may write articles on Law. I need to give these experts their own unique login in order to write their content (in WYSIWYG) Aim of Project My aim is to provide small businesses with a Joomla Website. They must be able to choose from a variety of Joomla Templates that I have pre-selected with you the developer. Each of these clients will pay me $x per month. They will need to subscribe to my service via online credit card. There must be discount packages available for longer term contracts. My clients will need the ability to update the standard areas of their website, which will also be pretty much standard for all clients. • Home • About Us • Contact Us • Company Profile • Company News • Subscribe / Register • Support • And other Links The home page will contain some static company content, but will also need to contain Dynamic Data which it will pull from the database which has been populated by the various content writer experts. This data will also be available in a link called “Current News?? The homepage should contain a RSS type of scrolling feature which will “roll?? the current news headlines, and when clicked will allow the content to be shown / accessible. Since each company is unique, we will provide them the service of loading their client logo to fit in with the Joomla template that they have chosen (however the client should not know that it is Joomla) We do not want to train our clients on how to setup Joomla, so they need a login facility to “manage their website: The will simply have one place to update their content or contact information or company profile etc. We must then read that data directly into their Joomla website. I would suggest that we could also create opinion polls, whereby that opinion poll could be voted on over various clients, not just in one Joomla instance. I would like these Joomla sites to really feel good and give a good user experience. As a Joomla expert, you will know of other Joomla apps / modules that we can incorporate into these Joomla sites. The Registration process: I need to collect information on my clients for the following: Company Name Website Address (domain) where the Website needs to point to. (If left blank, we need to be notified to contact the client and sell them space or guide them) Vat Registration Number Contact Full Name Contact Email Address Contact Telephone Number/s Username = email address Password Obviously Credit Card Information ??" We will collect all the money upfront • One month and 15 days prior to contract expiry, we must auto communicate to the client to renew their contract otherwise they will be disconnected Essentially we want to try and bulk sell websites and provides content in these websites for our clients. Another feature I want is that each client can create his own database of his clients, where he will be able to send “bulk email?? to this client base. He will be able to add his own paragraphs or two, but he will also be able to insert dynamic content from the various content writer experts. Database that Stores the various content writer experts Articles Please ensure that we allow the writers to edit their content at any time. They must also be able to add as many articles as they want. We need to Date stamp these Articles and store as many of these articles as necessary. Additional note for Shopping on my website: When subscribing, the user will have the choice to purchase a “flash banner?? that will be an additional extra fee. This flash we will outsource to RAC When subscribing the user will also need to pay the once off set up fee. The user must also select from a list of thumbnails, which images he would like to appear on his site. We obviously need to then make this available in the functionality. We should have certain images just for the “Home Page??, then certain images just for “about us?? etc etc. Joomla Templates Clients will be shown a limited set of templates that they can choose from since all of our templates will need to be PRE-CONFIGURED, with the correct links. The client will even choose from specific color of website that he wants displayed. Ideally, it would be great if there was a way for the client to choose his corporate colors from a color picker, but I am not sure the best way of achieving this without messing up too much. Database I am thinking that we keep 1 database for ALL clients, and not individual databases per Joomla instance. I am only looking for serious bids, where the developer knows exactly the route he will take to achieve this professionally without any hitches. I believe that because of Joomla, the application we are looking for is not as complicated as it initially looks, since Joomla templates is the name of this game. My Website Also to be done as part of this bid, and will also be done in Joomla. Over and above the regular Joomla template type style, I want to be able to sell this service on our website and have a wizard driven interface for clients that wish to subscribe. IT MUST BE VERY EASY TO USE!!! Just a note on the templates that we will make available….. we will provide dummy content to be inserted into the templates that the user chooses, and not use dummy data that come with standard Joomla template. The reason for this is that we want to make it look Industry specific. For example: The law firm templates will have law dummy text where the Accounting firm websites will have their own dummy text that is specific to accounting. Note however that the Joomla templates choices will be the same for Law and accounting, but the wizard must ask if they are an accounting, legal or insurance firm. Please note we do not just want to limit this to accounting, legal or insurance firms, so we need the ability to extend these options easily. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
