This wind mills have different text file formats, as well as XLS, DBF files. This application has to have the ability to read this formats and with human interaction, divide the fields so the systems can convert it into a database. What it is really important is to find the date format in dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss This module should be like a wizard that interacts with the user to gave this file import to the database. User is know as an expert user that has the knowledge to distinguish between fields. Each file will have its own format. In every project (every import file) should have: Table ESTACIONES (wind stations), where the system would add the imported info. Nombre (Station Name) Coordenadas (coordenates) Niveles de medida (measure levels) Altura de niveles (Hight levels) ID estacion (ID Station) If it is the first time that the file is imported (new project). The project can have more that one wind Station (from now on WS). The application should create a Database file. The application should let the user add, edit or delete records in the database. IMPORTANT: Once the wizard finish with the user the template to read the file, the system application should save the ability to create a template that if a same file arrives, the application should ask. Is there any template according to this file? We answer YES and choose the template, so the file imports it self automaticly. This system should make the questions like does the Microsoft EXCEL or Access, like: Is it dive by ; or , or TAB? Does this file have header lines? How many?
