VB Database (Internet based Access)

We have a Access database with VB6 client (not .Net). We currently share the app between a small office, but its getting where we frequently overwrite changes in the db with our new versions (we don't have a shared network, instead use file synchronization to keep files current on local laptops). I need to either move the database to an internet server and access it centrally from multiple clients (if this is possible) or some other mechanism. Because we use alot of local client logic, I don't want to translate the VB forms into asp pages - I'd rather figure out a way to use local VB clients to access 1 central database via the internet. The project will be to recommend a solid solution and to execute. This may be a trivially small project, or might be more substantial if we have to convert the db into MySQL or something else. Your call. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform WinXP clients, Linux/Apache web server (can be upgraded to Windows server).
