Problem:
We use the Yahoo ecommerce platform that changes our image filenames when we publish catalog updates. We need static image URLs.
Solution:
We need a PHP or CGI/Perl script that functions like the .aspx script at [login to view URL]
What this script does: the URL for this script is placed inside an tag with a filename and maximum size. Here are two examples:
[LARGE IMAGE] [login to view URL];w=400&h=315
[SMALL IMAGE] [login to view URL];w=200&h=115
In the URL, "i=" is the filename (SA10113-11P1") of the image, and "w=" and "h=" is of course the width and height that the image should be returned as. The appropriate image would be returned as binary information so that we can pass it to a tag.
We have a large directory of images on our webserver that this script will need to return. It may be necessary to use our MySQL database to store the image location as the image filename is not always the code that will be passed through the script.

I can offer the following ready solution. Such scripts are successfully used in several projects for a long time.
With my scripts you can also move image to the center of a square area and set up the color of this square.
