This is the second stage of a project. We need a java applet designed which displays webcam images stored on the server in JPG format every 10 seconds. Rather than just displaying a single image like many applets already available this applet needs to be able to read all of the possible jpg's in a directory on the server and then using a dropdown box or a pop up window, allow the user to select which image they want to watch, only listing images which are less than 60 seconds old as older ones are considered to be webcams which are offline. We already have the windows client software which allows the users to upload their webcam images every so many seconds, so we now need this applet designed for the viewing side of things. The applet should also be able to list the number of cams online and have a countdown showing the seconds left until the next image refresh. The all file paths and configuration data for the applet should be stored in a seperate config file and the applet should allow for a 'branding' image to be shown within the applet area, although not necessarily overlaid on the JPG image as this isn't really too important. More detail can be supplied as and when required.
