Implement login by mac feature on mikrotik user manager hotspot server. (or suggest solution) Problem: users are frequently disconnecting from the network because when they leave and come back, the mikrotik hotspot server is not keeping some mac cookies, and some users are being redirected to captive portal before expiring their voucher. Scenario (network diagram attached): Mikrotik Cloud CHR Radius server (connected to radius client via SSTP) Mikrotik hotspot server local (radius client) UniFi APs Users connect to UniFi APs and get DHCP and DNS from Mikrotik hotspot server, and authenticates in Mikrotik Cloud CHR. I need users to authenticate, and never lose connection until their voucher expires. If an user first login using a 7-day voucher, it has to last 7 days, logging out and logging in, without being asked to re-authenticate using captive portal. ( o sugerir solucion) problema: Los usuarios frecuentemente se desconectan de la red porque cuando salen de la cobertura wifi, el hotspot server no esta guardando las cookies de algunos usuarios, y cuando estos usuarios retornan al wifi, son redireccionados al portal captive. Scenario (network diagram attached): Mikrotik Cloud CHR Radius server (connected to radius client via SSTP) Mikrotik hotspot server local (radius client) UniFi APs Los usuarios se conectan a los APs UniFi y optienen dhcp y dns del mikrotik hotspot server, y son autenticados en el Cloud CHR. Necesito un correcto funcionamiento, que los usuarios no pierdan conexion hasta que su voucher expire por el tiempo establecido.

When you look at my profile, you will see lot of openwrt projects, mostly hotspot systems. It is openwrt, because openwrt is much better suited to hotspots with "above-average" requirements, compared to MT. Although I used MT 10 years ago already for hotspots, I noticed the deficienties, i.g. because of their closed-source environment, and dropped MT. Your requirement is rather common, and a serious solution ony to be done on the radius part. During auth, the radius server has to verify the MAC of the client, whether still some user-time left. In openwrt-based systems, using coova-chilli as CP (captive portal; coova-chilli is my standardard. Used in few higher end commercial hotspot systems, too.), coova can do both, first to try MAC-auth to radius. In case, this fails, then redir to login page. Which means, after succesful auth via login, on radius the credentials for future MAC-auth to be set: MAC, and expiry date, depending upon login info (voucher data). MTs approach using cookies is not really professional, as cookies can be easily purged. MT is good for routing etc., but hotspots are just an addition, implemented not very well. In case of interest, we can talk about more details. _MAY_ be, on MTs "Cloud Radius" this can be implemented, although I doubt, because of their closed source policy.
