£10-15 GBP / hour

Hi, We recently bought a website and its developed on perl with a very simple backend interface, we will need it to be improved dramatically to manage the content. You will report directly to the web development manager. We want this website to be updated with some extra features/pages/sections, product updating and some new module development. This is a huge website so a high PERL skill is required. The estimated hours and time will vary, but probably will be even more than 15/20 hours week, and initially the project will go for 3 to 6 months, probably more if we don't transfer the website into a Prestashop system. If you think you are able to work with us, please give us some feedback. The website is: [login to view URL] Thanks & Regards.

Hello. I'm curious about your project: on one side you want to update the existing code to add features and content, but on the other you say there's a possibility to discard everything and just migrate it to Prestashop (!). So I'm curious about what are your real intentions and if you're serious about this project. Anyway, I won't lie to you: my Perl skills are pretty rusty. The last time I did serious Perl programming was in 2010, for near four months on a local university project. Also I wouldn't recommend Perl for any current web development. But since it seems you're considering the migration from the start, I wanted to offer my services. Maybe we can even discuss a better technology stack, if you're willing to improve the site. I'm up for discussing this project and I would like to know what are you aiming to. Also, if you have a detailed description of the new features/pages/sections/moduleDevelopment/etc., it will help me to better assess the work.
