In my experience, the local app portion can be done in a very short period of time as we have developed the similar app. Therefore we can inherit many things from there, can save more time to finish the job and cut off the cost options. Please clarify the below features that should stay in your app: Users would be able to register/sign-in via Facebook and custom through your own server authentication Will the custom search bar(From navigation Menu) enable users to search everything there and pops up without any specific range(distance) that would be defined on the Settings screen? or should that depend? Will users be shown with their nearby matches(Post office, Fire station, Police station, Hospitals, School, Library etc) on the application? Using the Places Library, we can do this in a very short time. In the Place Search Requests, you can specify a type - which categorizes what "type" of place you are searching for. According to the Supported Place Types by Google Places API, there are hospital and health types - which would probably be your best bet to get hospitals in your search response. One restriction of this API is the match should be registered by Google API. But there definitely has a solution for this. Either users or Admin has to manually enter them to be shown from app. Will they also be provided with certain filters to view the other profiles in the app based on Male/Female and distance?.
