We have a site currently on line was written in Perl (dead language) site has been around for the past 21 years - constantly upgraded and was completely custom written. we want someone who knows Magento (in and out) to incorporate the Magento platform into our site and replace our current admin with the Magento admin while NOT touching the front end of the site maintaining the current URL structure. So it will require you to connect our API into the backend of Magento. either create orders 'on the fly' as clients click 'add to cart' or alternatively have duplicate DB one our current other a new Magento. Our in-house developers will be assisting the Magento professional by providing our API and helping with connection. Our primary purpose is to allow customers to shop on our existing site, and at the time of checkout, be routed to a Magento cart, which will have to pull product data from our site, or from a duplicate database, to allow for checkout. From there, we would like to develop a robust and user-friendly backend in Magento to handle all of our Order Management needs.
