Hi, I need a basic (but clean) bash script to generate my own packages. The output should be installable with freebsd's default pkg_add on another system. The script should be called like: generate_pkg $1 $1 = directory containing files that go into package The package name will be: `basename $1` Also the directory contains the file '[login to view URL]' that does the 'installation'. Eg of contents of the directory: sayhello [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] eg: generate_pkg /usr/private-packages/sayhello will create a package [login to view URL] scp it to system-B and there do: pkg_add sayhello-21.tbz. pkg_info will show: sayhello-21 I am open to suggestions on how to auto-increment version numbers. Thanks for considering this project, Michael -------
