I would like to hire an Illustrator

i'm trying to find an illustrator for a series of 10 illustrations of makers of things (clothing, food, books, etc) aimed at explaining why makers who intentionally stay small in scale are good for their communities and for the consumer. the goal is to make a convincing but counterintuitive argument to appeal to people who buy expensive denim, wine, consumer goods generally, but also to real estate developers, urban planners, and other business-type people. we think we want something pen and ink in feel, not colourful (monochrome or duotone/washes would work, possibly), warm and personal, but definitely feeling professional business. each illustration should be of the makers, waist up, in the context of their stuff and environment. it's important that their faces are accurate and recognizable (though they don't necessarily have to be very detailed)—the backdrop is very much secondary and should be much less detailed. it's just there to give an idea of the spaces in which these people work. ideally the illustrations should be 1:1 aspect ratio, but ideally can be cropped meaningfully to be 3:1 (landscape). the first use will be on a website (3:1 ratio) and we'll want the art at 3000 x 1000 px, landscape orientation. for source material, we can provide photographs of the makers, their spaces, but not fully composed photographs—so the illustrator would have to do some compositing. here's an example of what we would provide for one maker (a couple who run a tea shop/restaurant in nyc): [login to view URL] here are some portrait/face illustrations we like: [login to view URL] and here are some place illustrations we like: [login to view URL] in your proposal, please send 3-5 pieces of previous work that you think might be an appropriate model for this project.
