Hello, Here's some basic info about my project, this is a working document, I expect things will change as the developer and I work on implementation. I'm sure there are some things that I have not thought about that will need to be addressed, but you should get a good idea about the general scope of the project. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PDF FOR COMPLETE WORKING DOCUMENT USE CASE DESCRIPTION: Participants enrolled in online courses must fill out an Evaluation Survey as the last activity in order to complete the course. Every participant who completes the course, should be sent a Follow-up Survey, two months after the course was completed, to see if anything learned in the course was put into practice during the past two months. PROCESS FLOW: Participant takes online course and completes Evaluation Survey, the Qualtrics Evaluation Survey software automatically sends an http:// post to python script with participant’s name,email address, courseid, and followupURL. No survey data is sent, we are only interested the date the survey was completed so we can calculate when and where to send the link to the follow-up survey. We parse the data and create a Evaluation Survey Tracking record for each submission. After we process the submission, we’ll redirect the participant to the home page at https://www.edx.org. Each day, we’ll run a script to search through the submission records for the ones that need to be sent a follow-up survey (60 days after the initial evaluation survey) and then we send them a link with a parameter (surveyResponseId see tables below) that will get passed into the follow-up survey, and then will get passed back to us when they complete the follow-up survey. I have used [login to view URL] to set up ping to url to initiate a daily script in the past, depending where the python program is hosted, there may use a local resource we can use rather than relying on this website. When the participant completes the follow-up survey, Qulatrics will auto trigger another http:// post which will send back the surveyResponseId, and then we process that and use it to mark submission record doneDate (see tables below) and we’ll know the Follow-up Survey was completed. We will send out up to 4 reminder emails if the Follow-up Survey is not completed in a timely manner. It may be possible that the Follow-up Survey will never be completed, that is okay, we just have to be sure to have sent out at least 4 reminder emails.
