store pop messages to firebird db in unicode format

Hi, I'm Delphi expert with years of experience in various areas including FB, unicode and mailing. If I understood correctly, you have a legacy app (kind of mailing one) that reads mails from pop server and stores them in fb. However problem is that it doesn't store them as unicode text and you would like to get it fixed.

Hi there , I'm delphi coder I used to code simillar stuffs just like the one you have mentioned I mean making database driven applications using the latest technologies like FireDac , ADO with the mosth famous RDBMS like ACCESS,MYSQL,SQLSERVER,FIREBIRD,INTERBASE and so forth now for getting a unicode format we can either use delphi compiler directives or Windows API functions or just the components you have provided beside we can orgnize forms and its functionalities in a cool user interface just like the one in my portfolio I used to wotk with devExpress to make effective grids and interface actually currently I'm working with delphi XE3 and XE5 so no problem should appear ^^ I wish anyway just provide me with more information and I'll do my best after all it is your verdict Best regards

Hi, I’m software developer with more than 30 years experience in Delphi (since the times of Borland Turbo Pascal!). In the past 20 years I have worked (in-situ) for two international organizations (Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission, in San Diego, USA, and the Food and Agriculture Organizations of the United Nations, in Victoria, Seychelles). I also have experience in several other programming languages (Fortran/Fortran 90, C/C#/C++, VB/VB.NET, SAS, Java, S/S-PLUS/R), however, the bulk of my work has been done in Delphi. In addition to my extensive experience in Delphi, I also have more than 15 years experience designing/developing and porting MS-SQL Server databases and Firebird (previously Interbase). In my last position with FAO/UN I designed and developed a project for the management and analysis of fisheries data (FINSS – Fisheries Information Analysis and Statistical System). At present, this software is the main tool used by many of the governments in Africa, and SE Asia, to handle their fisheries. This 4-year project was all developed in Delphi and MS-SQL Server, and later ported to Firebird.
