5 simple databases with simple admin access so I can accept/modify/delete suggestions from the users on my homepage. I also need a "10 last entries" to that can be implement on the front page.
## Deliverables
First of all i don't have much database knowledge, so if things can be done in an easier or better way I'm open for suggestions. Maybe I only need One database? What I (think I) need is 5 different databases. They can be named English, Spanish, Norwegian, Swedish and German or similar. The databases are going to contain definitions or explanations of words, expressions or letters. So I guess the databases could be built up like this:
Word:Definition:Source:Name:email
I need one file (.php) that I can implement where I want. The file should contain the schema where the user can add suggestion to new word definition and additional information.
The other files(s) (also .php files), is going to be a part of the admin portal. I want to be able to see the suggestions (that has been submitted by the users) and accept/modify/delete or even add my own definitions here. I also want to be able to remove/modify definitions that are already in the database here.
When a new definition has been accepted to the database by me (in admin portal) I want this to be displayed on front page under "10 Last added definitions". So I guess this also could be made in its own file for me to implement where I want.
I need the database(s) to trigger on "?q=" and the different languages should trigger on:
eg.:
<?php
$txt = array (
'lang' => 'en',
);
?>
where "en" represents english
"no" represents norwegian
"se" represents swedish
"es" represents spanish
and
"de" represents germany
There should be made a file that I can implement where i want on my side that displays the information in the database like this (when the word/expression/letter triggers on ?q and 'lang':
"**Definition found for word: Word**
Definition
of
word
goes here
***Source**:Source goes here (if there is any) **Credit:**Name with email link goes here (if there is any)"
*If the word/definition/letter does not exist a message should be displayed asking the user if he want to add a definition. This triggermessage can be made in an additional file for me to implement.
*
*I don't know how to set up a database, so everything have to be made so I can uplode it to the server and make it install itself or something like that.
You can upload the script to some site of yours so I can test it and give feedback to make final minor changes, but I consider the work done when I have the script fully working on my site.
I would appreciate that there are explanations of the functions of the database scripts and the php script so I easily can modify it when I get more knowledge of the languages.
The attachment have some definitions that can be added for test purpose if wanted. They have some php code in it, I dont know if that is needed.
I have some php knowledge.
I'm open to suggestions. Please ask me if you have any questions.
