Sir it is possible to create a borderless window with shadow, but everything comes with a cost if you make the window transparent and you need the shadow, then you wont be able to draw anything on window using GDI but you can use direct x to draw the png image you wish. Use window style WS_EX_NOREDIRECTIONBITMAP to achieve it.
