Description: Digital Design and Development for Mobile App PROJECT DESCRIPTION The final delivered app must represent as closely as possible this prototype. The ‘app’ should be developed for delivery to Android and iOS devices and will be supplied in the native ‘app’ format that can be used for submission to the relevant stores for each of these operating systems. The app will also be skinned for delivery to desktop computers. the submission of the apps to these stores (Google Play and App Store), and implement any relevant updates required by the authorities in order to publish these apps to the stores as well as supply quotes for the ongoing maintenance or updates required to this software. Application Structure The ‘app’ is broken down into 4 distinct sections with which users can interact: 1) Log a request 2) Specials 3) Services 4) News Each piece of functionality sitting behind these sections can be described as either ‘forms’ which are responsible for gathering and processing user submitted information, or ‘feeds’ which are static text responsible for informing the user about the service offered, providing news or marketing specials being offered. Log a Request This section comprises of 11 unique forms related to the services being offered. The forms will submit data both into a database stored on the managing server, as well as generate emails for delivery to an email address specified by PLP. Specials This section is a live feed, and can display up to 5 specials, with graphics and copy, to the end user. Services This section displays static information to the user about what each of the services offered is, and how they work. There are currently 12 services described in the prototype mobi site found above. News This is a live feed of up to 5 articles or news pieces that are dynamically pulled into the app from the server.
