Create a Video

Thank you for looking at this job. I try to be as descriptive as possible and if you have any questions PLEASE ask and I will clarify in this main posting. I need short clips for my Language Learning school. These videos are for the listening sections of my lessons for 8th grade students, they will watch videos and answer questions based on the video. I'm only posting the first part of this project now. I've got another nearly identical project after this that is a 3,000 word vocabulary list. Ideally whoever wins this job would do such a good job that I'd hire them straight into that project. Here are some sample clips from the 6th and 7th grade: Female: [login to view URL] Male: [login to view URL] I'm not looking for superstar talent, but an 'American' look and sense of youth. The talent must smile and be comfortable on camera. No accent talent (Midwest) and the speech and audio must be very clear for this job. I want at least two different talents used, if you have a relative or someone you know who fits the bill and is not a "professional" but can still get it done is fine - as long as the work is up to standard I don't care. The lighting and sound should follow the example sent, and I will supply the logo file to the person who wins the job. *I must have full releases for all talent used to use the video in any way I want.* This includes at my school, on the internet, if I chose to use them in my marketing plan, etc. The mathematical breakdown of the work involved looks like this: 5 videos per lesson x 54 lessons = 270 short paragraph videos Please note the videos for these lessons that you are bidding on are longer than the two clips I've posted above. All of these lessons will need to be uploaded to my Vimeo account, following the naming convention explained below: The first 5 videos in lesson 1 would be labeled like this: Yr_3_Lesson_1_Set_1, Yr_3_Lesson_1_Set_2, Yr_3_Lesson_1_Set_3, Yr_3_Lesson_1_Set_4, Yr_3_Lesson_1_Set_5 Then all 5 would be put in an album called: Year 3 Lesson 1 You'll get this information in a spreadsheet and it is part of the requirement for the job. I've attached a small example of the paragraphs so you can get a feel for the kind of work/script you will need to work with the talent on. Even though there are a large number of small clips one could really complete this quickly because the English used for the sections is simple. It is all the same lighting setup so someone sit down and just keep going. I ask that the talent change shirts/hair/glasses, something, every couple of lessons so the students get some variety. I have hired and fired many free lancers on eLance and in my day job too. Most of them have been creatives. If you miss deadlines and pull the disappearing act most creatives do please do not apply. If I sense any of these traits I will end our relationship very quickly and it will waste both of us a lot of time. I'm not kidding. If you communicate well and do good work you'll love working with me. I make decisions quickly and pay fast. Those who end up working with me get a loyal and straight forward client. I pay upon completion of work. I will not pay any up front fee or deposit on your work. I do fund escrow accounts when we start work. All original files must be posted on Vimeo, and all work created is considered work-for-hire and therefore my intellectual property. I ask for weekly updates on Friday and promise to respond on Friday night/Saturday morning. These are short status updates and revised projections on completion date.
