I can give you verbatim transcripts, which include all sound effects, ums, ahas, etc or an intelligent transcript which edits these out and edits the transcript for basic readability! Hello, I am an experienced journalist and reporter with extensive experience transcribing both native and non-native English speakers on a day-to-day basis. I don't have any comments on this site but I can provide a lot of evidence for my journalistic experience if required. My rate is $0.25 per minute of audio, which works out at $135 for 9 hours of audio. The final product will be immaculately presented, with timestamps as required. I can guarantee that the information will be kept 100% confidential, and can do so in writing if requested. In regards to your questions: the total project charge will be $200, the final product will be a concise easy to read document with dialogue separated depending upon who is speaking, I will maintain the confidentiality of this arrangement by keeping this information to myself and if insisted by you, getting rid of hard copies after the project has been delivered to you, milestones can be reached once the projects are halfway done or even less than that if you are concerned about my capability, and lastly, I am extremely reliable. I have transcribed many interviews for a documentary filmmaker over the past year, and she was so satisfied with my performance that she started sending me all of her footage instead of splitting it between three freelancers. I am a highly experienced transcriber, editor and proofreader who would love to assist with your research by typing up your transcriptions promptly and accurately. I have not done transcription projects through freelancer yet, but have done several through elance. My bid is for 10 hours of recorded audio at $25 an hour. If the final hour total is 9 hours, I am happy to be paid for 9 ($225). I will provide your transcriptions in Word files with the speaker and respondent clearly identified. Minor vocal errors will be removed - please let me know if you want me to correct minor expression errors (eg tense changes, pronoun errors) by speakers or if verbatim transcription is required. With regard to confidentiality, I am happy to sign any agreement about it you forward. I am happy to erase all my working files and the recordings after transcribing each batch of interviews. In terms of milestones, I suggest we base them around the length of the interview batches - say if the first batch of 5 is 3.5 hours, let's make the first milestone $90. How reliable am I? I am a boringly reliable - a 20+ year high school English and History teacher (currently on leave). My idea of a good time is a well written bibliography! In terms of the project, I am happy to transcribe your 12 files in three batches - one due June 15, the next July 6 and the last on July 13. You must have positive comments already or a good story to back it up. I will send you 5 audio files tomorrow to be transcribed by June 15. I will send you 6 more files on June 28 to be transcribed by July 6. (i can send you some as they get done if that's easier to complete). On July 10 I will send you one more audio file to be transcribed by July 13. That is a total of 12 files which will make up 9 hours of audio. I need straight answers on: - What is the total project charge for up to 10 hours of transcription? - What does a final product look like? - How you will maintain the confidentiality of this? - How will milestones work? - How reliable are you? If you win the bid and perform to my satisfaction you will also get up to another 6 hours of transcription with me in August. If you are really good I will recommend you to my colleague who will need almost the same level of service
