Hi, We need to use a hybrid system here. Arduino can sense the liquid level and can transmit to the controller. The controller can show the details and can send an email alert. As such, Arduino can not send emails and with the help of add-on like ethernet shield we can get network capability. But better to use Linux cards like Raspberry pi as controller here. So Raspberry pi + Arduino together can do this task. Level sensing can be done in two ways. One is using floating method and second one is using contact-less sensors. It depends on the height of the liquid container. The Raspberry pi can host this data directly as a web server and can show levels live. Also it can send an alert email when the level goes above/below threshold. We can use the same web interface to configure the level threshold. Raspberry pi is cheaper than ethernet shield for Arduino and is have more capability than ethernet shield. Also we can use wifi dongle if needed with Raspberry pi. Thanks!
