Having studied English linguistics in college (both for pedagogical and descriptive aims), I know a lot more about the English language than the typical freelancer. I do not, however, charge by the word; rather, I charge by the hour at a rate of $25. Sorry, but I do not work for anything less. Your minimum weekly payment would have to be $25, and then more if I work beyond one hour. Hello, I'm living in South Africa, and am native in English. I would be happy to proofread and edit content that you need. I am available through 10am to 5pm German time every week day Monday through Thursday, and available from 10am to 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays (German time). I have never worked with anyone on a per word basis, but I guess it is reasonable to charge something around 0.10 cents per word, or if you say that it's just responses to clients - half a dollar to dollar per letter.
