Proofread Something

I am interested in your project but you haven't stated how many words/pages, so I may have to adjust my bid price and time frame accordingly. I registered with Freelancer in February last year and have 89 reviews, all positive. English is my first language and my skills include technical writing, editing and proofreading. I have just begun as the copy editor for The International Journal of Wellbeing, an online journal, a position to which I was invited by a Freelancer client for whom I had edited a book. I recently edited a 65,000-word science fiction novel and the client was so pleased with my work that he commended me to Freelancer - and an article about me was published by Freelancer. Other recent work has included proofreading a number of theses on a variety of subjects, as well as individual chapters of academic writing. For two years I was a copy editor for Elsevier Science Publishers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, rewriting text by authors who were not native English speakers. I have worked with individual clients to bring 20 books to publication and four of these clients have rehired me to work on further books. Having been a teacher of English in high school for four years, I have spent many hours making corrections and suggestions for students' essays. For an additional two years I was a teacher of English as a second language.
