In my small hometown in Georgia, it’s just understood that hospitality is an essential part of life. Strangers are considered to just be friends you haven’t met, yet. In my small hometown, it’s not uncommon to wave when you pass someone on the street, even if you’ve never met him or her. We smile and say hello to each other on a regular basis. Yes, we’re Southerners, known all through the nation for our genteel hospitality and genuine warmth. I believe my Southern roots have helped prepare me to become a guru in the field of networking.
