This is a job intended for one specific person, pre-arranged.
For my facebook page, I need a steady supply of beautiful nature photography, onto which photoshop will add motivational text phrases. I am looking to hire someone who can work a few hours each day, ongoing work possibly for many months.
Firstly, you must have current photoshop version, because we will be file-sharing over dropbox, to collaborate on photo retouching the colors, and often, adjusting shadow direction and text emboss colors.
Secondly, the photos must either be unique or public domain. I will supply a logon for TinEye API, for you to check that images are not part of any commercial stock photo collection.
Photos will be cropped to 940x940 pixels, and must be completely sharp and beautiful at that resolution. Therefore, you can't be taking 300x300 images and resizing them, because they will be blurry and probably show jpeg artifacts.
Photos should be of things that are popular for people to Like and Share on facebook, which turns out to be: sunset colors, blue sky, lush green vegetation, beaches, ocean, interesting mountains and valleys, and so on. Images that seem relaxing in some way.
I will hope the person I hire, already has lots of landscape photography in their own collection, because that makes it easy to find unique material.
Photoshop work on the images, will often include: adding extra blue-to-grey gradients in Overlay mode, above the sky, to make the sky bluer. adding green-yellow layer in overlay mode above vegetation to make greens look even greener. Adding blue layer in Overlay mode above rivers, ocean, lakes, to make the blue water look bluer. I am also fond of aerial photography of beautiful geography. People like the more intense colors, but it must be done with subtlety.
When adding text, I use the font "Cambria Bold Italic", I apply a drop shadow, with light direction that matches the light source in the background image. I apply Bevel&Emboss, and change the highlight color to match the light source (if the sunset light is red, the highlight color is red. if the light is very white, the highlight color is white. if yellow, highlight is yellow). The shadow color of the emboss is often changed to be a darker version of the color of the grass or ground.
To be hired, tell me you are experienced with Photoshop, have some landscape photography of your own to contribute, have ability to find more usable photos on the internet, have DropBox, and that you want ongoing work.
It's pay-per-hour work, and I've been doing this work myself, so I know how long it should take. The first 20 images will be learning time. The next 20 should be produced on a steady schedule. At that point, I will evaluate whether the cost and productivity is satisfactory to continue, or not.
I will supply the motivational phrases, and jokes.
