Its a bit complicated, I have a MSSQL server with a database called tfrgrolls that holds two tables, One called madawaska, and another called Van Buren, The database is for a paper company. They use the database to track their rolls of paper. Now the hard part is they start with a roll that is about 11 feet wide and turn it into about 7 rolls that are smaller in size. I have a software built in Visual [login to view URL] that they use to access the database, add new rolls, and convert larger rolls into smaller ones. I have purchased 4 Symbol 3800 Handheld Scanners, they are basically handheld computers with a barcode scanner. You can look up the information on the scanner off of Symbol's website. The scanner requires a small program to allow the user to scan a barcode on the roll, the barcode contains the roll number, and then the user needs to be able to input the roll size, color, weight, and a few other fields into the handheld scanner. after doing so the scanner stores the info for transfer once its placed in the cradel. The comptuer also needs to use the sendhex command to transfer the information from the scanner to a program on the server.. which also needs to be created.. this program then adds the rolls to the MSSQL database.. I'm not too sure the language needed to program the scanner.. but thats part of the project.. to look up a methoud to program the scanner to get information to store into a MSSQL database. I Need 1. The softwared to be uploaded to the scanner. 2. The windows based software to download the database info saved in the scanner 3. The information to be uploaded to the MSSQL Database Here is the website will all you need to know to build the program ftp://[login to view URL] ## Deliverables Rent A Coder requirements notice: As originally posted, this bid request does not have complete details.
