_Course Enroll-Manage (CME) Project_
Introduction:
This project is to create a web-based application for enrolling and managing a vocational training program. This is not a web site but a web application.
There are 5 top level screens. Below the top, at the 2nd level there are a total of 20-22 screens like spread sheets of which about 11 of them are for data entry, about 10 screens are for reports and data retrieval "search on" kind of screens and 1 screen for database archival/retrieval.
SQL database will be used.
Background:
Phase I is in near completion stage. Phase I has the following:
1. Most of the screens developments have already been done and ready.
2. Top Level Screens: All top level screens have been designed and coded. One top level screen need some changes. Others may need some tweaking.
3. 2nd Level Screens: All but 6 Report screen designs have been coded; May require some minor changes.
4. Database: For the schema, tables and entity list have been created. They need to be checked/verified/updated.
Scope of Work:
Project Phases:
1. Phase I: Use the existing screens & code; make necessary changes.
2. Develop Phase II:
a. Build the application; save the data from data entry screens to the database. Build all the reports from the data retrieved from the database.
b. Data for internal testing will be provided in spreadsheet format.
c. Set it up the built application for customer testing
3. Develop Phase III:
a. Make the changes/corrections from customer test findings
4. Develop Phase IV
a. Build Database archival/retrieval process.
See details....
## Deliverables
Phase II and III will be iterative process until the development and testing are completed and a fully functional system is delivered.
Other Relevant Items:
1. All database schema design has to be done as part of this project.
2. Platform: SQL data base on Windows platform, Internet Explorer screens, HTML, JAVA. This is not a www application. The hardware platform is Client/Server; the Server and the connected Clients all reside in-house at the training facility.
3. A design document along with existing code will be provided.
4. A complete project plan and schedule will be agreed upon before starting the work.
5. A test site will be setup where the work-in progress development can be uploaded.
Details will be provided after interview.
