Configure CKFinder

I have a site (Linux, shared hosting at HostGator) that uses CKEditor and CKFinder is installed but doesn't come up when the "Browse Server" button in CKEditor is pressed. I also have another page that's supposed to use CKFinder all by itself and I just get a 404 error message there, too. So obviously I've FUBAR'd the configuration. I can poke and prod at it just done -- I need someone who **KNOWS** CKFinder and can quickly and easily fix a config problem. I also want someone else who will explain what they did so I can learn from my mistake. This should be a piece of cake for someone who *knows* CKFinder. I have a bid deadline set of 2/23 but as SOON as I see someone with a good bid who can *convince me they can do the job* I'll choose them and close the bids.
