a) Select a floor of a house or apartment; it can be where you live. b) On paper, sketch the outline of the plan and the main items of furniture including the recession in the walls and cabinets and appliances in the kitchen and bathrooms. c) Accurately measure all dimensions and sizes of the plan of the place and indicate them on the drawing, also measure all items of furniture. It’s a 2D plan so height is not relevant. d) Use millimetres as the unit of measurement. e) Produce the plan in AutoCAD 2004 I WILL BE ABLE TO CREATE THE SKETCH MYSELF BY LOOKING AT YOUR WORK PROVIDING IT IS FULLY LABLED. SO THIS IS NOT Necessary. ## Deliverables Your drawing should include i) A frame around the paper and a title of my choice ii) Use of grids iii) Different layers for different groups of items such as walls, windows, electrical, plumbing etc. iv) Blocks for items with more than five primary objects like chairs etc. v) Dimensions on a separate layer to show all dimensions by using DIM command vi) Use of text to identify objects ## Platform AutoCAD 2004
