We are currently using Outlook Calender to schedule our technicians daily jobs (client service calls). This requires entering all jobs on one calender then transferring them out each day to the respective technician.
This function can only be undertaken on one workstation terminal and due to the limitations of Outlook cannot be accessed by any of our remaining six workstations.
We require a work scheduling programme that can be run on our server (Windows Server 2000) allowing access to all workstations so as to input service calls.
Also required is : -
A master summary page that would show one week at a time indicating which times have been booked out by specific technician. Upto five technicians can be working each week.
A weekly summary sheet for each technician to be viewed on screen
The ability to transfer jobs between tchnicians
The ability to copy jobs between technicians when two or more are required at the same job
Many service calls are recurring so we would require the ability to enter recurring service calls as is available in Microsoft Outlook.
Each booking we require a space to enter the specifics of the job, costings, quotes numbers, equipment requirements etc.
Each booking requires an address to be entered.
Each booking reuires one fixed and one cell (mobile) phone number to be entered
The ability to "lock" specific service times and specific technicians. (i e some customers want their servicing undertaken on a specific day and / or time by a specific technician)
The ability to search bookings by name and / or date
Ability to print out a daily run sheet
