J2ME GPS Application for Nextel Phone

Develop a J2ME program (or set of programs) to run on Nextel phones (iDen) that support GPS features. (Including i830, i710, i730, i88s and i58sr) The program will retrieve the current GPS location (at regular scheduled intervals - a user specified setting) and push this information to a server at a specific IP address / port (user specified setting). The data send should include (at a minimum) phone id (user specified), date, time, lat, lon. The application MUST be able to run in the backround while other phone functions are being used (with the exception of voice as this is not support by nextel), and should have some methodology of automatically starting up (either on phone startup or by remote trigger) The application must run on ALL of the above specified phones (different executable versions are acceptable). You must have the necessary equipment/tools to develop and test this application yourself. Additional RELATED projects are available and will be offered privately to the person/company that successfully completes this project. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Deliverables MUST run on current J2ME based Nextel phones including the i830, i710, i730, i88s and i58sr. Installation instructions must be provided to allow us to test the final result.
