Data copy - Access into SQL Server Overview Need a tool that will copy data from an access database into a SQL server database. This should be a very generic program so it will work with any access database. Program Flow 1. There are around 50 access databases located on the hard drive at different locations Example: c:\folder1\[login to view URL] c:\folder2\[login to view URL] 2. Each access database has a SQL Server database created for it 3. The program will need to define a way to map an access database (including path) to a SQL Server database. Example: c:\folder1\[login to view URL] -> Server=srv-test;Database=Database1; c:\folder2\[login to view URL] -> Server=srv-test;Database=Database2; 4. When the program executes, it should update the data in the SQL Server database with the data in the access database for each mapping defined in step 3. Details on this step: • This should not copy all the data, but instead only update the information that has changed. • The first time the script runs, it will need to build the table structure in the SQL Server database. 5. Once all databases have been updated, the program should go to sleep for a while, then wake up and start all over. This amount of time it sleeps should be able to be user definable in a config file or something. Other Details: Must be written in C# Should run as a windows service.
