## Deliverables
The basic requirements of this bid request is to take a parallel port relay control board (HERE: [login to view URL] see this for a schematic: [login to view URL]) and reduce its size (if possible) through the use of smaller/different components while retaining existing functionality and adding the following:
1. Expanding Relay Control via Parallel Port to Include Input Pin Connectors (see “A?? below) & An IC (see “B??below)
A. Connectors for the 5 input Pins on the parallel port (so we can hook up wires to these pins (must be opto-isolated): 10, 11, 12, 13, 15 (parallel port pins) on the board).
B. An IC solution (that will block or allow communication with the relay board) to prevent the pins from going high on Boot or Shutdown when the IC has communication blocked. Pins must only go High when the IC allows the board to receive commands from the Computer. This solution must cause the pin state to remain constant when the computer is shutdown or rebooted. e.g if the computer has set pin 3 high, then the relay board must cause the pin to stay high (even if the computer is shut down) until it receives another command from the computer. On-board Reset Switch and a Connection for a remote reset switch. (when pressed the reset switch will cause the relays to return to default state ). (For A Similar IC go here: [login to view URL] )
2. Regulated Power Supply
Integrating a Regulated Power Supply onto the Relay Board
A thermal protected (so it powers down if it overheats) regulated power supply with reverse polarity protection that outputs 12VDC and 5VDC (seperately) from DC input ranging 11.5 - 16 volts. the power supply must be able to supply up to 60 watts RMS.
Here is a link to a similar device (NOTE: I have never seen this device and don't know if it works or not) [login to view URL] SEE **12V Regulator on the page**
NOTE: This board must permit hookup to power and the circuits the relays will control via solderless connections. e.g. We need to be able to connect wires to the board connectors without soldering them.
Circuit must be designed in RS274-X gerber extended format with NC drill files and drill tool list.
Also if you have capbility to manufacture the board and/or solder it, please list the cost for that.
Sincerely
Timothy Luce "midevilone"
1) Circuit must be designed in RS274-X gerber extended format with NC drill files and drill tool list. Must Deliver file ready to generate actual board.
2) Optionally if you have the capability to produce the board, then we would accept that in addition to the file.
