The goal of this project is to produce a .NET CF control that displays MJPEG (motion JPEG) video.
The invoking application will send complete JPEG images (color or B&W, no larger than 640x480, variable compression) to the control for decompression, scaling, rotation, and display. The control must allow the incoming video to be rotated 0, 90, 180, and 270 degrees.
It may be assumed that the control will be sized to the same aspect ratio as the incoming stream (corrected for rotation).
The goal frame rate is 25+ Hz on an iPAQ 2215, assuming color 320x240 JPG images, 50% compression, and 90 degree rotation to fit the iPAQ's screen aspect ratio.
It is assumed that displaying images at this rate will require JPEG decoding code to use Intel's Integrated Performance Primitives (IPP) library for the PXA-255.
The deliverable is a C# project containing a control created for the .NET Compact Framework that (presumably) wraps a C++ dll which rasterizes incoming JPEGs, then displays them in the control's content pane. For the purpose of verifying operation and performance, the project should be wrapped with a simple application that demonstrates the above objectives.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
