ASP.NET 2.0 Website Changes

1) Show the 5 most viewed articles in last 24 hours This needs to look good and will be shown on all article pages like the one below: [login to view URL] It will be below the right nav but in its own block. Should be a similar style but different colour background. 2) Something similar to the first task but to show 5 random articles by the same author. If there aren't 5 articles from this author then it will just show however many there are. 3) Similar again but this one showing 5 articles which may be related to the article using the categories set in the DB. The site is asp.net 2.0 and css. It's pretty basic though as all it needs for all of the three tasks above is 3 different coloured blocks like on the current right nav using the same styles. I have full access to DB and to server. All the content is already in the DB you just need to write the queries and set it out. For task 1 you'll probably need to write to a new table. My idea for this is to store views in a row in a table the articleID, datetime stamp, ip address. IP address is stored so that if a user views a particular article in the 24 hours it is only recorded once. Every 5 hours rows longer than 24 hours in DB will be removed.
