I've worked with solenoid interfacing before, for access control systems. I can employ a WiFi module like the ESP-0, to receive control info from the IFTTT channel, and display the lock's status as well on the channel. If you want, the Arduino may be excluded entirely in favour of a microcontroller board that has WiFi capability built in. Contact me to discuss details.
