Hi, My name is Teja and I am living in the UAE. Me, along with a couple of friends have come up with a unique idea for an app and we are hoping you could help us develop it. Here is the idea. A lot of us are into team sports. I personally am a huge football fan and I have my own team. But I face difficulty trying to get the team together. Sometimes we have multiple matches scheduled, and using whatsapp or facebook makes it difficult for me to find out which of my players have confirmed for which particular game because there are too many distractions with people chatting in between, some people first confirm, then back out and it is difficult to keep track. The solution: I want an app that will allow me to create a game invite and send it to my team, and they can simply select in or out and at the end of it, I can get a summary of who all have confirmed their availability and who all are yet to confirm. This is part one of the app and the most important part. Part 2 will consist of different venues across the region and the number of pitches that are available in a particular venue along with their cost and contact details. The venue owners should be able to block pitch slots on the app itself so that a user can just logon to the app and check if the pitches at a particular venue are available or not and accordingly call up the venue and block the time slot. The venue owner should have access to block a particular time slot on the app upon confirmation. Part 3 consists of users wanting to host football tournaments and need some assistance to get the word out about their tournament. The app should have a section where a tournament organizer can update the details of his tournament, and other users can view the details and get in touch with the organizer to participate in the tournament. Part 4 is for teams who want to take up a match with other teams and simply fill up their details and put search match. This should allow the two teams to see each others details and schedule a game among themselves. Hello. You got a pretty interesting idea there. While you've done a good job in making a detailed description and the spreadsheet gave me a good idea of what are you trying to achieve. In fact the spreadsheet helped a lot, cause I was about to bail out and don't bid on this: I saw it as a too big project for the price range. But now I think it's doable provided we agree on the constraints. Anyway, no matter how good description you gave, it's still not a fully detailed requirement document, so I'd prefer if you accept to tackle this project on an hourly basis and not on a fixed price: it's still fairly big and without a good document describing all the screens, flux and limits, it's impossible to give you a fixed price. I believe we can make around 60% of it with my current price, so consider it may take double to finish it. But again, it's a rough estimation since I don't have enough information. My technology choice will be to do it with pure Javascript under Node.js, so let's drop PHP. That way you can later think about adding a chat or maybe push notifications which will update user view in real time. But I'm getting ahead. This will be a web based app, so no specific iOS/Android code. Just plain HTML+CSS+Javascript with a responsive design so it works on mobile devices. If you like my proposal let's talk a bit about the first part, let's define it fully and start with that. I hope you consider my offer as this is a really interesting project. Thank you.
