I am a very experienced outerwear designer and have a strong background with design, fabrication, fit, sourcing and pricing. I am currently the Menswear Director for Merrill + Forbes and we have sold 80% of our collection to the exclusive dept store Lane Crawford HK in our first season. I have designed outerwear for Calvin Klein, Kenneth Cole, French Connection UK, Nautica and Hawke & Co. I have high familiarity with an expedition jacket in terms of what's needed: functional fabric for body regulation, UV protection, all weather performance. Also, the jacket needs extra functions such as special pockets to carry things and zip out extensions to adjust to weather conditions. Not only that but the design needs to be strong in terms of innovation and fit. I will provide trend/silhouette/fabric/trim/color research, sketches, 1 tech pack, sourcing of fabrics/trims/factories. I am based out of NYC and have excellent research skills and strong follow-up as well as a respect for deadlines.
