I am a 26 year old Kenyan male citizen who has recently graduated with a BA degree in Social Sciences at Makerere University. I took a major in International Relations and Diplomacy with a minor in Gender studies. The mode of teaching and instructions for the institution was English.
I recently completed a six month internship with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Nairobi, Kenya which began in January 13th – June 30th. It involved working under the Asia, Australasia & Pacific Islands Directorate as an intern and involved data entry, data processing, preparing briefs, letters, memo’s, note verbales among other office duties as assigned. Analyzing emerging issues within Asia & Australasia, and their impact on Kenya’s foreign relations
In June 1st –August 3rd 2012 I completed satisfactorily a two months Internship program at Community Shelters Uganda (C.S.U) Kampala, Uganda as per the University requirement. This included community outreach programs in selected suburbs around Kampala such as Kawempe, Mukono-Kayunga among others in collecting raw data, processing and disseminating the information concerning improved livelihoods.
These assignments have given me invaluable skills which make me specially equipped to undertake the project. I posses excellent computer skills in both Microsoft excel and word packages.
