In this project you will design a piping system to pump water from the front of the library to two prescribed locations on the UD Campus. You will need to determine the length of pipe required, the diameter of the pipe, and a pump for the system. You will have to take costs into account, including the initial cost of the pipe, the pump, and operation cost for the lifetime of your system. A preliminary design solution (worth 20%) and a ﬁnal report (worth 80%) presenting your design as to a committee tasked with selecting a proposal will determine your grade for the project. Remember: A design problem does not have a single “right” answer, but there are good and bad designs. * see the attached
