Hello I have been asked by Matt to look at your editing project and to contact you if anything is unclear. I certainly like the sound of what is clearly a challenge, and I would just like to ask a few questions if I may. How many pages and how many entries are there in the index? Are you indicating that there are reference details throughout the text and each of these will require altering as well, or is it just the actual index that needs adjusting? Part of the project is to also proofread the entire text, can you advise how many words it is as while you have indicated 1100 pages of text, I have no idea how many words there are on average per page. Please note that my bid at present is so that I can say hello. Once I have a greater understanding of what is required then I will be able to give a more accurate figure - I never change the amount requested once a project has been started. Could you also give an indication of the subject matter please? I will not bore you by repeating what you can see with regard to the feedback ratings or the exams passed relevant to this type of project, save for underlining my completion which should help reassure you that if awarded the project, it will be completed. I have allowed 45 days for completion, but that would be on the basis the project was awarded today; that timeline would alter if necessary. I look forward to hearing back from you.
